Everything within a couple of minutes of each other:
Newly reopened in 2024 after the 1974 earthquake. ~30–45 min walk up from town or short drive. Best view in the valley from the new lookout terrace.

Podsreda Castle~25 min
12th-century Romanesque fortress inside Kozjansko Park. Thick walls, dungeon, exhibitions, castle café, treasure hunt for kids, VR experience. Summer: free outdoor cinema in the courtyard on Thursday evenings in July/August — ask your host for dates.

Veliki Tabor (Croatia)~35 min

Tower of Health & Joy (Rudnica)~1.5 hr walk
